Teams of volunteers do all kinds of things. Quite often, it's people who get together because they see something that sucks, that they would like to change.
This can be political. Take wars, fox hunting, global trade or the environment. If you want to make a difference, it helps to get organised (whichever side of the fence you sit on).
Or it can be local. Take your local sports club, park, nursing home. If you and your friends care about it, you can do something to help..
It can take a day or two, or a year or two. A day doing a garden makeover, or painting and decorating. A week planting trees. A year campaigning for fair trade.
